Serviced apartments in Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg
Furnished apartments in the middle of Berlin, run with the care of a small hotel and the ease of a home. Four of our five addresses sit in Mitte, close to Hackescher Markt, Oranienburger Tor and the Museumsinsel. The fifth is in Prenzlauer Berg.
Every flat is fully furnished, with a real kitchen and your own bathroom. Check-in is from 3pm using your own door code, and after that at whatever hour you land. If you arrive earlier, message us. If the flat is ready, it’s yours. Suited to short stays and long ones alike.
We host directly. No marketplace stands between you and the people who keep the keys, and the person answering your email is the person who knows the building.

A perfect stay in Berlin
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment and would highly recommend it! The location was absolutely ideal, and the apartment was perfectly equipped for a stay with a baby. Everything we needed was there, and the owner had even thought of details we hadn’t thought to ask for ourselves. For example, a baby high chair was provided without us even having to request one — such a thoughtful and appreciated touch! The owner was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and considerate throughout our stay. He was always available when needed and made everything very easy and comfortable for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We recommend this place 200% and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Berlin!

Questions, answered
Everything guests usually ask, before they ask it. Anything else, and there is a person at the end of an email, a phone or a WhatsApp message just below.
What time can I check in and out?
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Arrival is self-service — you let yourself in with a code at whatever hour you land, so a late flight is not a problem. If you need the room earlier or want to leave later, ask us and we will do what we can.
Is anyone there to meet me?
Check-in is private and self-service: you get a door code before you travel and let yourself in whenever you arrive. If you would rather have someone walk you in, tell us in advance and we will arrange it.
What is in every apartment?
Free high-speed Wi-Fi, a desk, an iron, a coffee and tea maker, a microwave, a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer, and a washing machine in the apartment or in the building. Smoking is allowed on the balcony only, in the apartments that have one, and not at all in the rest.
Is there a lift?
Only in the Oranienburger Straße building. The other four addresses are walk-ups with no lift, so if stairs are difficult for you — or you are travelling with heavy luggage or a pushchair — tell us and we will put you somewhere that works.
Can I park?
There is an underground garage (Tiefgarage) in the Oranienburger Straße building — ask us about a space. The other addresses have no parking of their own.
Are pets allowed?
On request. Let us know you are bringing one when you enquire, before you book, so we can put you in a suitable apartment.
Can I bring children?
Children of any age are welcome. From four years old a child is charged as an adult.
What are the house rules?
Smoking is allowed on the balcony only, in the apartments that have one, and parties or events are not allowed. Beyond that we ask only that you treat the place as you would your own home and keep the building quiet at night.
Where exactly are the apartments?
We have 44 apartments across five addresses in Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. Hackescher Markt, Oranienburger Tor, Museum Island and Alexanderplatz are all close by, so most of what you came to see is walkable.
Is there anywhere to eat in the building?
Our own Sixties Diner is on the ground floor of the Oranienburger Straße building, alongside two Asian restaurants and an Italian one. You can be sitting down to dinner about a minute after you put your bags down.
What languages do you speak?
German and English. Write to us in either and you will get a reply in the same language.
How do I reach a person?
Email office@urbanflatsberlin.de or call +49 1747 925 966 — the same number takes WhatsApp messages, which is usually the quickest way to reach us while you are travelling.
